Where you can find fairly traded goods (non commodity goods that don't carry the Fairtrade Mark.
People have been trying to ensure fair trade with poor communities for years - from before the Fairtrade Foundation and the Fairtrade Mark existed. The extent to which the producers will benefit may vary - there is no common standard which has to be met for a product to be labelled fair trade. However, most if not all making these claims do care about the producers - some organisations like Traidcraft and Oxfam exist to help the poor, so you can be fairly sure that when you buy fair trade products you are helping people to be rewarded fairly for their labours.
